Installation
First, install Java SDK version 17+ for your platform.
Eclipse Marketplace
The easiest way to install pgCodeKeeper is to use Eclipse Marketplace.
Launch Eclipse, version 4.19 or higher, with the installed Eclipse Marketplace, and select Help > Eclipse Marketplace….
Enter “pgCodeKeeper” into the search box.
Select the pgCodeKeeper package, review the Terms of service and click Finish for the installation of the latest pgCodeKeeper version to begin.
After the installation is complete, restart Eclipse to apply the changes.
Update website
Another way to install pgCodeKeeper is the update website.
Launch Eclipse, version 4.19 or higher, select Help > Install New Software…. This will launch the plug-in installation wizard (with the help of the update website) will launch.
In the Work With field specify the path to the update website: https://pgcodekeeper.org/update/.
After pressing Enter you’ll see the available plug-ins in the list below.
Select the pgCodeKeeper package, agree to the installation, review the Terms of service and click Finish for the installation to begin.
After the installation is complete, restart Eclipse to apply the changes.
Installation from an archive
You can find the previous pgCodeKeeper versions here. This page contains archives of versions starting from 5.10.5 and higher.
Download the file
pgCodeKeeper-updatesite-<version>.zip.Launch Eclipse, version 4.19 or higher, select Help > Install New Software…. This will launch the plug-in installation wizard (with the help of the update website) will launch.
In the opened Install window, click Add next to the Work with field.
In the next window, Add Repository, click Archive….
Select the downloaded archive pgCodeKeeper-updatesite and click Add.
Select the pgCodeKeeper package, agree to the installation, review the Terms of service and click Finish for the installation to begin.
After the installation is complete, restart Eclipse to apply the changes.
pgCodeKeeper standalone build
Another alternative is the pgCodeKeeper standalone build that you can download here.
To launch pgCodeKeeper using a separate build do the following:
Download the
pgCodeKeeper-<version>-<os_name>archive for your OS.Extract the downloaded archive.
Launch
pgcodekeeper.
